Catch UP!!!

Well well well...dearest Holly you have been slacking SOOOO...I must catch up on my blogging skills!

Christmas is this coming Sunday! I was reminded how last year around this time I started my blog! I am not to good at posting what is happening in my life and posting pictures. Anyways, I am super excited to spend Christmas at home this year. I made it home yesterday around 5:30 pm. haha When my mom came out to meet me I ran from her--it was the funniest thing! I wish I had a video of it. Sadily I must write about my puppy dog, Mc. She died this morning around 8 o'clock! =( Dad and I up to the cabin and buried her next to Zoe. The ground was frozen, but we were determined to make her burial site special. Mc was a very loyal, caring, and fun dog. It has been a sad day in the Sorensen home. But I guess Mc was starting to go down hill a week ago. She couldn't walk and wasn't herself. Yesterday dad took her in to put her down (Dad didn't want her to suffer), the Vet wanted to see if she could save her, so Mc had surgery. (Mc had a enlarged spleen) The vet thought she would make it, so it makes me think of the "what if", but I believe in Dog Heaven and Mickey is having the greatest time right now and frolicking with our other beloved pets.

So, Here is a picture of me and my diploma! I GRADUATED in July! Hurray! This has been a great year! =D I took my boards October 27th and am now an offical RN. Yay ME! September 18th I moved down to Pleasant Grove to live with my sister and brother-in-law to help with the boys and get ready for my next semesters clinical rotations. (I am also taking classes this Fall semester to get my BSN. I will graduate with my BSN next Fall...what a glorious thought). I love and appreciate their hospitality and love seeing my sister each and everyday! My sister has always meant the world to me and I look up to her everyday. She has a wonderful example about herself. By coming to Utah I have met so many wonderful people. I have some of the greatest friends! It is weird to think I have friends that like me. haha This is something I am not used to. This coming January i am starting Clinical in American Fork. The doctor i am under is amazing. I will learn so much from him. I am so EXCITED!!

I am so excited to see what the upcoming year brings. I am preparing that list of New Years resolutions and while i do this I will find last years resolutions to see how well I did. I am sure I did pretty good this year! WAHOO

So, I have been trying for a very long time to write on a comment on the post you dedicated to me, but it hasn't worked. So, I will just write it on my wall exaclty what I would have said as my comment...here goes

It sure has been a blessing to have you as a friend in my life. I am thankful for you and the many memories we have created together. We will be old old friends as we develop gray hair. =D You're the bestest and don't you ever forget it. You will be a wonderful teacher. Today is April 13th. This is the day Grayson was born, one of the cutest nephews I have. (I have a lot of nephews and neices) =D So, the Winter semester ended last Thursday for me. Now I get to sit and relax at home until next Monday when I have to go back. I have ONE semester left, so I think I can finish is off. Hopefully I don't get lazy. I really want to do well this upcoming semester! It will be hard and difficult, but I know that i can do it! =D

So, I got done with finals last Thursday and came home Friday afternoon. I was home for a little while and then Mom and I went down to Tara's for the weekend. It was so much FUN!! We went to a pirate place for dinner on Saturday night and went shopping at all the fun malls their in Orem and Provo. I got a really cute shirt...I believe. Eric says I look like a sailor in it though, but that won't stop me from wearing it and LOVING it. I also got a spring dress! It is purple with flowers on it. I also love this! All in all I just had a wonderful time. I didn't take many pictures, but I will post them as soon as I get on my other computer. (I am on my parents NEW one) It's kind of fun! =D

Also really quick we celebrated Grayson's birthday. We gave him a bike. He was tickled pink when he first saw that bike. He loved it! What a cutie...Tanner and Karsten were so much fun as well! We jumped on the tramp and played card games. So fun. =D hahaha

Well, I best be getting ready to go. I am going out to lunch with Dad and Mom. So, excited! I will take any opportunity to get free food that is yummy and good for me. Instead of making a lunch and dinner from a box that is so not healthy for me.

24 Days left!!

The semester is coming to an end! HURRAY!! Where did this semester go? Well...I don't know? haha But I sure have learned a lot and I still have a lot to learn. One more semester left and then---drum roll please---I have to take the boards! epp! That sure is scary! But enough talk about school....

Besides school I have enjoyed relaxing at my apartment, living at the library and going out on the town. Ok...well town meaning Rexburg. FOr example last weekend I went downtown and bought the cutest skirt! I will have to post pictures later...I JUST LOVE IT! <3 Then afterwards we went to Marices and I bought myself the cutest headband for $6. HURRAY! THen I went to Winger's and got the sticky finger wrap. I always get the "sticky fingers" so this was the day I would try something new. It was SO worth it and yes, there was still sticky fingers with it! Yippee!!

But that's me and that's what I have done recently. Oh...p.s. I watched the Bachleor finale the other day and he chose the girl I liked. That never happens. And today is American Idol. I am happy to hear more singing! Bring on the music! =D Well, better get back to listening to class...and yes I am writing this in class!

Saturday!!!

Today has been a great day and it is only 5 o'clock. THis very day I had the wonderful opportunity to go and listen to Sister Julie B. Beck the General President of the Relief Society. I learned so much. I had a lot of questions answered. It was wonderful. She definitely knows how to put things. At the Relief Society meeting there were several stakes invited to come in the Southeastern area of Idaho. I think they said they invited around 57 stakes. WOW!! They held this in the new BYU-Idaho center. There were more people who attended than attendance for Devotionals on Tuesdays. *sigh* It was wonderful and uplifting.

OH...and that's not all...haha! I went and met her and of course gave her a hug. =D I love her and admire her for all she does. Very knowledgeable. Hopefully one day I can know the scritpures as well as her.

Well, time to start some studying.

February is coming to a close! Where did this month go!?? It's already the 26th....exactly a month from my Birthday! =D This is exciting! I am going to be a BIG girl....haha

This last week was filled with tons of tests, but the good thing was I didn't have any clinicals this past week which made studying easier! It was a amazing! =D AND I got a 4 day weekend. =D HURRAY! Due to President's day on Monday and no clinical on Tuesday! It was wonderful to go home. I forget just how much I love being home. Being around people that i absolutely adore and love to pieces it so relaxing and comforting!

So, I have been thinking!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my parents! They are so good to me and have always been there for me..... AND of course I love my family! I was able to see them all this past weekend. I left on Friday for home and relaxed and hung out! =D Then Saturday my brothers and sister in laws, nieces and nephew meet up with Tara and the boys at the Cabin. The snow was a little scarce going up, but that was fixed by getting 5 inches of Snow the next morning. It was a good Jolly old time! It was catching up with my sista too. I miss her!

Next, School....School kind of controls my life and I begin to really miss the things I was blessed with when I went to High School. Every day I was able to sleep in my favorite bed and see my parents, and Dogs. Oh How I miss my puppies and waking up to cooked breakfast! I eat better when i am at home! I guess the whole thing where I don't get a semester off has been really hard for me.

Anways, enough remembering the olden days...haha! I still love my college life, but Nursing just gets overwhelming sometimes and it's so hard not having a break in between. This last weekend helped ALOT!

Quickly for next week I am going to Utah. I am excited for next week. I get to go down to Utah Valley with my Nursing class. We are going through a tour of all the hospitals in the Orem, Provo, Salt Lake area next week AND the BEST PART I get to stay at my sisters with a few Nursing friends. I am excited. It will be a good break from Nursing. (Just remember it will be worth it)
